Hey everyone! Here at Ohio Hi-Point to gain the college credits in labs you have to take the certifications and become certified in the areas that are fitting to your lab’s job field course.  My lab, Information Technology, has several such as IC3, Microsoft Office Specialist, Adobe, and CompTIA_A+, Electro-Static Discharge certifications.

Each one of these certifications is great way to get a good foundation in Microsoft office, Adobe, and computer related areas. Having all these certifications can be great on resumes also. So far all the seniors almost have all of them done, the juniors are just starting in the IC3 certifications. So you have about two years to get them done, but you want to get them done as soon as possible because my senior year is packed full with my Senior project paper and product building.

Right now I’m ESD certified, a Master in Microsoft Office, and IC3 certified as well. The things I want to have accomplished before I graduate is to get certified in Adobe, have my senior project all finished in the best fashion it could be done in. I also want to make it far in BPA (Business Professionals of America) competitions this year. Hoping my team video project does well and my Accounting contest takes me further this year than just fourth place in regional.

So I’m going to be a busy bee, with my lab, Marysville High school course work, awaiting to see if I get into Wright State University, looking into scholarships, work, and helping get events organized for Business Professionals of America since I’m Ohio Hi-Point’s BPA chapter’s Vice-President alongside Shelby as President. So I’m going to have a schedule filled up, so lots to get done. Can’t wait for this great opportunity to bring future success!
