The holidays are going great this year, and we’re one step closer to Christmas!  On top of that I just celebrated my birthday a few days ago.  My lab is also about to go on a field trip to the University of Northwestern in Lima to see new equipment and how it works.  I find this great since it’s the college I’ve been accepted into.   A particular piece of equipment we’re going there to look at is the Hunter alignment rack.  It consists of satellites that guide you through aligning a car fast and efficiently.  As for Thanksgiving break it was great!  I had one dinner in Columbus with my sisters and mother, then the next day I had dinner at my dad’s.  I was stuffed for the next week.  I wish the best to everyone over break, and happy holidays!

My academic classes at OHP are pretty much the same as at my home school, Bellefontaine. Some are challenging and some are easy, but yet you know you’re still learning and achieving something.  My classes this year at OHP are: college math, which has a long story behind it. It’s one of my easier classes. I was supposed to be in calculus, but since only two morning lab students qualified for the class, we had to be dropped to the next math class. I also take U.S. government, anatomy & physiology, and CP English.  Hi-Point offers all college prep and honors classes that are offered in most home schools or even more.  I feel my academics are a challenge, but I know they will benefit me greatly later in life.

The main reason I chose OHP was because they had automotive classes, and the Auto Technology program offers everything I wanted to learn since I plan on becoming a mechanic.  Before I heard about OHP from Mrs. Spain and the student ambassadors, I heard about it from family members that had already went here, and what they told me was pretty convincing.  So I deciding to go knowing I could get a good jump into my career field with an edge over the other guys.
I’ve actually asked my mom awhile back what she thought of me going to OHP.  She told me it was a step in the right direction and one of my best decisions.  My dad was really excited about it when I was enrolled knowing the possibilities that available to me. I recently was accepted in to the University of Northwestern Ohio for Auto High Performance, and I start classes June 28th of next year.

My first few weeks at Hi-Point have been amazing.  I really feel like I’m getting the most out of my senior year.  My only problem is figuring out what in the world I want to do my senior project on?!?!  The ideas and possibilities are crazy, and it’s hard to wind it down into one.  I’m pretty confident that I’m going to attend UNOH (University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima) after I graduate. I talked to a rep. from their school and he told me he guaranteed acceptance for me! Hopefully I can figure out what to do my project on soon cause until I do it’s going to drive me nuts!

Hey, I’m Mica.  My hobbies are sports, fishing, working on and detailing cars, and I love to camp.  Along with being involved in cross-country at Bellefontaine High School and having a full schedule here at OHP, I work at Wendy’s and do some landscaping.

I have hopes of becoming a mechanic one day. I am going to attend college at University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) in Lima, and I have an endless amount of friends from all over that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

My parents are Mica, Sr. and Laura.  I have 5 sisters, 4 half and one full.  What I like about Hi-Point is the endless chances and opportunities it gives and the ability to reinvent yourself and start over.  It also nice to be able to establish friendships with people from all over. The possibilities are endless.
