Senior Year! It is almost over. How was the journey? When thinking of my senior year many feelings and emotions go through my head. In one way, I feel this year drug on and it was a tough one, I kind of feel excited that I will be done with school. At the same time, it is sad and scary. It is sad to think that the days of school and friends are part of the past and are just going to be memories. Ending my senior year is also a very scary thing for the fact it is time for life-changing decisions. I have to decide where to go from here and what I truly want out of life.
After school, I plan to work at the same salon that I do now as a receptionist full-time until a chair becomes open. When that happens, I will work as a commission girl and build up my clientele to soon be on my own and rent a booth. Since I will be receiving my Cosmetology license right out of school, I will not be attending college right away. A long term goal that I have is to eventually go to spa school and get into a more spa environment.
Overall I am truly excited for graduation and the next couple weeks! Attending Hi-Point has helped me to feel a lot more secure for my future and know truly where I belong in life. It has helped me to achieve my goals and maintain a job in my field right out of high school. I couldn’t have accomplished what I have without Hi-Point!

Well….we just had what seemed to be a “blizzard” in Logan County the last few weeks and were out of school for almost a week which was pretty sweet!! While at home my mom made me sit down and think of what I want to do when I graduate. My plans after high school right now are to attend Rhodes State College and major in Business Management so one day I can own my own salon. While going to college I plan on working in a salon to build up my clientele. I’m still undecided where, but as of right now that is my plan after I graduate.
The thing that I am really thankful for is having the opportunity of coming here. I am able to follow my passion and dream of becoming a hairstylist right after I graduate while also getting an associate’s degree in business. Ohio Hi-Point has really gave me the greatest opportunity in getting me on the right path, and I’m so glad I decided to come here!!

Hey everyone! How ya been? We have been so busy getting things done in this last week of school before break! When we get back it’s going to be a fresh new start.
Many people have probably asked you what are some goals you have that you would like to accomplish in the new year. I have been asked this question many times. It’s hard to respond to because there is so much. I want to make the last half of my senior year even better than the first. A goal I have is to finish up the school year the best I can and with the best grades I can have. I also want to make many memories. As a senior, I’m realizing that this time you wait for for so long comes sooner than you’re ready for. It’s sad to think that this is the last year we will see the teachers and friends we have made here within the last two years.
Most kids come here thinking that they are leaving behind something, or that they are going to miss out on things. Truthfully, I don’t regret my decision to come to Hi-Point at all! The teachers, the friends, and the memories are something I will take with me for the rest of my life. The skills that we have learned are lifelong and we always have this to fall back on. So my goals for the new year are not to regret a thing. To make this the best yet. Also, make wise decisions as to where to work and further education. Making decisions that will not just benefit me now, but in the future, too!
